"Bruegelland", 1999 (revised 2005),oil/wood, 21"-21" by Marc Salz. This is dedicated to Flemish painter Pieter Bruegel the Elder(1525-1569) who painted "Children's Games".



"Clown Time"(for James Ensor), 2007, oil/baltic birch, 14"-18". This painting can also be seen on my post made June 13, 2010 along with Ensor's paintings of clowns and masks.

"Boo Boo", 2004, oil/baltic birch, 23"-24". A painting named after the son of the great jazz musician and composer Thelonius Monk. Monk also wrote the tune "Boo Boo's Birthday". At the time I painted this, I was assembling toys for our own grandson Sammy. It could also be titled: "Joan Miro visits Elmo's World".
